YUBA-SUTTER, CA (MPG) - The Live Oak Little League softball major Lions and minor league Sooners softball teams ended their seasons with two banners California District 2 Little League Tournament of Champions.

The Lions went 16-1-1 as their only defeat was to the older junior Lions in LOLL in late March.

The Lions roster consists of multiple athletes that made it to the LL West Regional tournament last summer and they have improved their skills within the last 12 months.

The Lions were dominant throughout the season and a fair amount of the roster will move onto All-Star’s and the goal of the team is to make a deeper run than they did in 2025.

The Sooners went 16-0 during the 2026 season.

LOLL had two minor league teams as they had to play a game in the beginning of May to determine the representative for the league during the TOC.

Between the two squads, Live Oak minor softball went 26-1 during the 2026 season as that only loss was reflected during the determination game of finding the LO representative for TOC’s.

The Sooners went 3-0 in the minor tournament as they beat Plumas Lake LL and Peach Bowl LL to reach the final.

The Sooners defeated Olivehurst/Linda LL 9-4 on May 27.
