GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – Gridley residents and those in surrounding communities are invited to help name a new youth psychiatric facility under construction at Orchard Hospital.

The hospital broke ground Aug. 11, 2025, on the Psychiatric Health Facility for Youth, which is scheduled to open in late 2026. The facility will be located behind Orchard Hospital and is expected to serve patients throughout Butte County and neighboring areas.

As part of the project, community members may submit naming suggestions through an online survey at tinyurl.com/OrchardPHF.

Hospital leaders described the facility as a significant addition to local behavioral health services for youth in Gridley and the surrounding region.
