The City of Gridley encourages community members to attend Gridley’s Substance Abuse Prevention Forum

GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – The City of Gridley encourages community members to attend Gridley’s Substance Abuse Prevention Forum on April 29.

The forum will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. April 29 at Gridley City Hall, 685 Kentucky St.

Discussion topics are understanding the impact of substance use to our children and families, exploring health risks and long-term effects of substance use, parenting through the challenges of substance use, and substance use and its consequences.

Forum participants include Butte County Behavioral Health, Northern Valley Catholic Social Services, American Lung Association, California Health Collaborative, Gridley Police Department and Gridley Parks and Recreation Department.

Substance use is a growing concern in the community, according to forum organizers, but together, we can be part of the solution. The April 29 forum is designed to introduce the Gridley community to the importance of substance abuse prevention.

Attend the forum to learn how to protect our families, support our youth and build a healthier, safer Gridley through education, awareness and action.

This is a free event open to the public. Refreshments will be provided.
