GRIDLEY (MPG) – Before the dinner was even over, 451 meals had been served through the drive-thru option during the 66th annual Bean Feed and Silent Auction for Manzanita 4-H on Feb. 22 at the Guardian Building. Guests were served both indoors and from the drive thru. About 75% of the attendees used the drive-thru option.
Dinner consisted of tri-tip, chili, salad, and garlic bread. Desserts were brought to the tables by eager 4-H’ers.

Manzanita 4-H has 40 to 50 members, ages 5 to 18, and most were busy at the dinner serving, bussing tables or assisting with the raffle and Silent Auction of donated items.
Jenna Elrich, the coordinator for the event, indicated that the proceeds of the dinner would not only go to the club in general but would fund scholarships and the 4-H Leadership Program in Washington D.C.
4-H’ers Naryah Warfield, Naomi Grover, Aeris Lair, and Niellie Warfield served the food.
Live music was presented by Johnson Brass.
