GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – The Railhouse Pub & Grill, located at 1495 #C on Highway 99, was burglarized about 3 a.m. Jan. 4 and the suspects are still at large.
The front door was smashed and money stolen from the safe, all in about two minutes, according to store owners Kari and Tim Trusheim. They are offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the perpetrators.
The Jan. 4 burglary marks the third time that the restaurant has been burglarized in eight years of operation, according to the Trusheims.
The store’s security camera photographs showed that the suspects on Jan. 4 were dressed in expensive clothing, including a brightly-colored hoodie (see photo). Video from the nearby smoke shop showed the vehicle being driven was a Mercedes.
Also on Jan. 4, Los Charros Taqueria, also on Highway 99 at 1516, was burglarized. There were smashed windows, many items broken and about $500 stolen, according to store representatives. The store manager, Ramon, said that he has never seen a black Mercedes in Gridley. The store manager said that he did not make a police report, since the amount of money stolen was only $500.
