GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Gridley Titans 10U traveled to Anderson Saturday to take on the Jr. Cubs.

The Titans defense started off hot on the first play from scrimmage, when Jesse Delgado stripped the ball causing a fumble that was recovered by Boss Davis.

On offense the Titans scored early and often.  Boss Davis threw the first touchdown to Levi Mowles for Levi’s first touchdown of his young career.  The Titans followed that up with rushing touchdowns from Boss Davis, Deandre Carothers, Madden Jackson and Esaias Valdez. The Titans also kicked their first extra point of the season, it was kicked by Israel Hernandez.  It was his first ever extra point kick. The Titans also had two onside kicks recovered by Deandre Carothers and Tyler Smith, both kicked by Jaxson Dewhurst.

The Titans defense kept the Jr. Cubs off the scoreboard with big plays by Esaias Valdez (forced fumble) Nash Benson (fumble recovery) and Boss Davis (interception). The final score was 32-0 Titans. The Titans travel to Yreka this weekend to take on the Jr. Minors on 9/28 after press time.
