GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Gridley Titans 10U came into Saturday’s matchup vs Durham Jr. Trojans without allowing a single point scored against their defense this season.
That streak continued on Saturday with a 40-0 win over Durham. The 10u Titans scored 6 touchdowns.
There were five offensive touchdowns with scores by Deandre Carothers (3)Tyler Smith (1) Casen Gruber (1). The defense also had the touchdown of the day when defensive end Israel Hernandez stepped in the middle of the quarterback pitch to the running back and took the ball 47 yards for a score.
Damon Reeder also came up big for Gridley’s defense with an interception late in the game - the first of his career.
Gridley heads to Corning for a battle against a good Corning 10U team. Both Teams are headed into the matchup 3-0.
