BIGGS, CA (MPG) - Biggs High School recently celebrated basketball homecoming week.

The festivities kicked off with a stretch of spirit days. Monday was “throwback” day where students and staff were invited to wear their favorite duds from decades such as the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Tuesday pushed participants to be creative with “rhyme without reason” day. Biggs High School staffers would show their students how it was done with their collective dress-up efforts, creating the lengthy rhyme, “4th of July, Butterfly, FBl, Night Sky, Chicken Thigh, Googly Eye, Wi-Fi, Tie-Dye, Golf Guy, Bill Nye the Science Guy, and Pie Guy!”

As the week continued, Wednesday would flip the script as teacher/student roles were reversed. Students dressed as their instructors and vice versa. Thursday, or “theme day” would designate specific colors for each grade level to wear. BHS students wouldn’t disappoint, showing their Wolverine spirit with pride.

Homecoming wouldn’t be complete without a king and queen. This year’s queen candidates were Addie Scott, Jazmin Ibarra, and Kloe Seipert. King candidates were Brody Hudson, Chase McLean and Emiliano Bermudez. It would be Scott and Bermudez crowned as Biggs’ 2024 basketball homecoming royalty.

Both boys’ and girls’ basketball teams would emerge victorious from their respective games, ending homecoming week on a winning note.
