COLUSA, CA (MPG) -  As of July 1, 2023 Colusa Medical Center, a community hospital owned and operated by American Advanced Management Group, Inc (AAM), welcomes new regional CEO, Steve Stark, to their leadership team. As part of an operational merger between Glenn Medical Center in Willows, CA and Orchard Hospital in Gridley, CA, both now under AAM management, Steve is responsible for aligning regional healthcare system mission and vision with physicians, the boards of directors, and communities in Butte, Glenn and Colusa Counties. Steve will be working closely with C-suite leadership and managers of Orchard Hospital, Colusa Medical Center and Glenn Medical Center to accomplish goals that create a healthcare delivery system that is safer and more efficient for patients across the northern Sacramento Valley region.

Steve Stark is a graduate of the University of Drury in Springfield, Missouri, with a Bachelor of Business Administration and two Master’s degrees from Bellevue University, Nebraska: Hospital Administration and Organizational Performance. Steve most recently served as chief executive officer at Orchard Hospital in Gridley, CA. Steve’s healthcare career began over 15 years ago, serving as a hospital information technology director. Since then, Steve has been promoted to more advanced roles including Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Chief Information Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Executive Officer. Steve has spoken to groups across the country about integrating continuous process improvement and technology into daily workflow to provide better patient care. Today, Steve is considered a leader in organizational strategy and has a black belt in Lean and Six Sigma, which is evident in his management style. Steve is also a Studer Group® Champion.

Colusa Medical Center is the sole community hospital serving the residents of Colusa County with a wide range of medical services. The hospital was reopened after closure due to bankruptcy in 2017 by American Advanced Management Group, a diverse healthcare group committed to delivering high-quality care to patients in a safe and compassionate environment both today and in the future.

American Advanced Management Group, Inc (AAM) originated in 2012 with the opening of its pilot hospital, Central Valley Specialty, a General Acute Care Specialty Hospital in Modesto, California. In the 10 years since opening their first hospital, they have experienced exponential growth and expansion into both long-term acute care, short term acute care, post-acute and rehabilitation facilities, home health and hospice, skilled nursing, rural health clinic services and workforce education and training. Their ability to offer multiple medical specialties through our rural health clinics, as well as dispositioning appropriate hospitalized patients to associated post-acute facilities for continued services are just two examples of their success at delivering quality, patient centered care to communities of every size.
