GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Orchard Hospital joined with Butte County, City of Gridley officials, and members of the Gridley Area Chamber of Commerce to officially announce the opening of their new Outpatient Center.

Kami Dunstch, Chief Operating Officer for Orchard Hospital says that the new center will provide streamlined services to patients in a comfortable setting, separate from the emergency room environment. These services include lab work, radiology testing such as X-ray, CT scans, MRI ultrasound echocardiograms, cardiopulmonary services such as EKGs or pulmonary function testing (PFT’s) and more.

According to Dunstch, the Orchard Hospital Outpatient Center has been in the works since the beginning of 2023, made possible by funds donated from the Orchard Hospital Foundation. The focus of the Foundation’s Annual Appeal fundraiser was the Outpatient Facility and has been made a reality thanks to their hard work.

Of the center and its benefit to patients in the community, Duntsch says, “I think it’s an amazing asset,” sharing that it’s a more modern and comfortable environment for patients.  She continues to say that due to wait time and uncomfortable facilities, patients can tend to put off or fail to complete their diagnostic testing. The goal of the Orchard Hospital Outpatient Center is to make those processes easier and more relaxing for ultimate patient care.  “It’s a much better patient experience,” says Duntsch.
