National 4-H Week Kicks off this October

GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - October 2-8 is National 4-H Week! Come join over 6 million other 4-H members in celebrating National 4-H Week. Become a part of a special group of kids who use their Head, Heart, Hands, and Health to make the world a better place. 4-H youth are a living, breathing, culture-changing revolution for doing the right thing, breaking through obstacles, and pushing our country forward by making a measurable difference right where they live.  Members are 5 to 19 years old.  The goal of 4-H is to develop citizenship, leadership, responsibility and life skills of youth through experiential learning programs and a positive youth development approach. Celebrate the uncommon commitment of 4-H’ers during National 4-H Week and recognize the confidence, passion and practical skills that prepare them to step up to the challenges of our complex changing world.

Come by the Manzanita Market to see our National 4-H Week Window Display or visit the Butte County 4-H web page for more information on how to sign up for 4-H as a member or an Adult Volunteer.
