GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - After much anticipation, Gridley’s new SavMor store opened its doors Thursday, September 8^th.

Corporate officials joined SavMor management and the Gridley Area Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon cutting ceremony outside the store the day of the opening. With a snip, the ribbon was cut and assistant store manager, Conor Manka said, “We feel so excited to finally have this opportunity - to be able to reach the entirety of our community most effectively with the new storefront and to be able to provide the highest form of service possible with everyday low pricing for our groceries.”

According to Manka opening day went smoothly and feedback about the new store has been positive, to say the least. The new store is over 2 times the size of the old location. Manka says that “In every one of our fresh departments (produce, meat, bakery) we have expanded every sort of variety we have had the opportunity for” and that extends to the shelves as well.

Gridley and the Gridley Area Chamber of Commerce welcomes the new store to the community.
