GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Gridley FFA’s Spring Plant Sale was, once again, a hit with the community.
Students prepared cuttings, planted seeds, and nurtured the growth of plants, both flowering and vegetable, for their spring FFA Plant Sale. The plants along with garden art made by the Ag department were available for purchase two days last week, April 19 and April 21.
Plants sold for a mere $2 each, some multi-packs for more. Ag advisor Madelyn Vaca says that students raised $1200.00, with the funds raised going back into the Horticulture programs account for future years. Vaca says, “It was a great turn out and a successful sale.” Based on community feedback, she says the sale seemed larger than that of previous years and that the “kids were very proud of all the support we got!”
