GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Orchard Hospital has signed a contract with local physician, Dr Maralee Bowers.  Dr. Bowers is set to start seeing patients in August 2022 at Orchard Hospital’s Medical Specialty Center in Gridley. 

Dr. Bowers completed medical school in Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois and her residency at Hinsdale Hospital in Hinsdale, Illinois.  She is board certified in family medicine, a member of the California Academy of Family Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Catholic Medical Association. 

“I’m so excited to be joining Orchard Hospital.  Gridley is my hometown and I’m thankful to be joining our local hospital where my father worked when I was growing up.  I’ve seen the hospital evolve and improve throughout the years and our shared commitment is to keep excellent health care close to home for our patients and our families.  I’m looking forward to the great things we will do together”, said Dr. Bowers.

Dr. Bowers will spend time in the clinic and will also see patients in their home.  “Home visits is a new idea that Dr. Bowers brought to us.  We both believe people heal best in their home and having a doctor load up supplies and see patients at home will save time and effort for our most vulnerable patient populations”, says Steve Stark, Orchard Hospital’s chief executive officer.  “We are always looking for ways to make it easier for our patients and providers.  Dr. Bowers has great ideas to help, and we’re delighted she is now part of our amazing medical team!”, Stark concludes.
