GRIDLEY, CA(MPG) – Everyone, even those on the naughty list, got a special glimpse of Santa just before the big holiday, as he toured town in Gridley Fire Department’s own fire engine!

Gridley Fire Department pulled some strings and along with Gridley Police Department, convinced Santa to tour Gridley, for the second year in a row, in their fire truck! In order to visit everyone on his lists, Santa had to tour town on two separate evenings last week.  He visited the northern portions of town on Tuesday, December 21, and the southern portion of town on Wednesday, December 22nd.

With siren chirps and whirls announcing his approach, Santa, accompanied by his entourage of Gridley Fire Department/Calfire Butte Unit and Gridley PD vehicles, waved to adoring crowds from the window of Gridley Fire Engine 376, which was decked from end to end with brightly glowing holiday lights. The blazing glow of colored lights could be seen from far off as Santa approached and merrily “Ho, Ho, Ho’d” to all that lined the streets to wave as he passed by.

The Santa Tour is becoming a beloved part of Gridley’s Christmas celebrations. Thank you to all those that made this jolly holiday event possible for our community!
