Improving Safety and Reliability for Our Hometowns: PG&E Upgrading Gas Lines on Gridley's Haskell Street
Nov 29, 2021 12:00AM ● By PG&E CommunicationsPacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) will soon begin a natural gas distribution line upgrade project part of Haskell Street in Gridley that will improve the safety and reliability of the local gas distribution system.
PG&E contractors will begin work on Monday, Nov. 29, to replace existing natural gas pipes with all-new 2-inch diameter plastic gas distribution pipes lines on Haskell Street between Norman Street and the south end of Haskell Street, which runs along Manuel Vierra Park.
The project, expected to continue through early January, will include boring and trenching to install more than 1,400 feet of gas lines serving nine customers.
Motorists can expect occasional traffic controls during work hours of 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and an occasional Saturday, except on holidays.
Crews will work in segments to minimize impacts.
PG&E has notified customers by letter along the work area.
