BIGGS, CA (MPG) - Biggs High School athletes transitioned quickly from one sport to the next after the football and cheer seasons ended. For any athlete, that’s a difficult thing to do. Team chemistry takes weeks to build and individual performance takes many brutal hours trying to perfect a craft. But sports has been a pivotal part of life and the high school experience, and for these Wolverine seniors, it means everything to get one last chance.
The varsity boys basketball team began their season on Friday, April 23, 2021 hosting Hamilton High School and ended their season at home on Friday, May 7, 2021 against Williams High School. Their season consisted of two games against those two schools and a game against Wheatland High School. The senior players honored before the game against Williams were: Aiden Solansky, Calixtro Navarro, Casen Jackson, Daniel Santillan, and Gregg Slusser.
The varsity girls basketball team also began their season on Friday, April 23, 2021 away at Hamilton High School and ended their season on Friday, May 7, 2021 at Williams High School. The Lady Wolverines season consisted of four games against the two schools.
