GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – Something new is coming to Red Suspenders Days this year and it is kinda messy – but that’s the fun! A heard of half-pint horses will bestow on Gridley, the honor of hosting our very own Pony Plop Bingo contest!
Yes, you heard right. The Pony Plop Bingo arena will be located on the northwest corner of Hazel and Virginia streets in Downtown Gridley. Down from the Auburn area, the most adorable ponies will be heavily fed and then turned loose on a grid comprised of 288 squares within the arena. As the ponies meander around the grid, doing what ponies do, they are expected to leave piles of “plop” behind. The goal of the Pony Plop is to be the owner of the square that gets the most “plop” at the end of the day. The biggest pile of plop wins the grand prize of $500!
Those interested in seeing how much plop they can collect on their square can purchase one for just $10 on Red Suspenders Day. Bingo Squares go on sale at 7:00 am and are first come, first serve. The plopin’ starts at noon. All proceeds benefit the Gridley Area Chamber of Commerce.
