BIGGS, CA (MPG) - Biggs High School varsity softball continues to find a way to get the job done for the victory as they improve to 4-0 on the season. On Wednesday, April 28, 2021, the Lady Wolverines hosted Pierce High School (Arbuckle, CA), where they took the 13-3 victory. Junior, Ashley Rudd, started in the circle for the Lady Wolverines, pitching the complete five inning game. Rudd gave up three hits and three runs, striking out three Lady Bears batters.

Freshman, Kloe Seipert, led the Lady Wolverines offense going 3-for-3 driving in four RBIs on a big two out hit to right center field and scored two runs. Freshman, Sierrah Swanson, went 2-for-3 driving in two RBIs and scored two runs. Rudd, and senior, Megan Shelton, both got a pair of hits driving in one RBI and scored two runs. Senior, Zonah Headley, went 1-for-1 with two RBIs. And senior, Diana Munoz, went 1-for-3 driving in one RBI. 

In their latest matchup against Maxwell High School on Thursday, April 29, 2021, the Lady Wolverines fought hard for the 5-3 victory with Shelton in the circle. Shelton went seven innings, giving up four hits, three runs, walking two batters, and striking out nine. Shelton improved to 3-0 in the circle.

Freshman, Jazmine Ibarra, led the Lady Wolverines in this contest going 3-for-3 with one RBI, one run, and one walk. Headly went 3-for-4 with one RBI. Freshman, Addie Scott, went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Shelton went 2-for-4 with one RBI and scored one run. Rudd went 1-for-3 scoring three runs. 

The Lady Wolverines continue their season at home on May 11th against Williams High School and May 12th against Chico High School. Game times start at 4:00 PM.
