Help support this fun-filled, safe evening for Gridley’s 2021 graduates

GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – With Graduation right around the corner, Gridley High School parents are preparing for one of commencement traditions, the All-Night Sober Grad Party!

The Sober Grad Party has been a long-standing way for parents and educators to ensure the safety of their graduates after reaching and crossing one of life’s major milestones. A letter circulated about the 2021 Sober Grad Night, says “More than ‘just a party,’ the All Night/Sober Grad party is a commitment by parents and the community to provide the graduates ‘the time of their life’ without risking their life on a night when that risk is unusually high.”

The party is typically held after graduation at a safe location, beginning this year at 10:00 pm June 11^th and continuing until 5:00 am June 12^th. Of course, students will have access to food, snacks, and drinks while they enjoy games, karaoke, a mechanical bull, and prizes to be awarded throughout the event.

Parents are currently trying to raise money and collect donations to make the party a success: “We recognize that you get many donation requests, we hope you share our belief that this is an extremely worthwhile even for these children!” Funds are used to offset the cost of food and entertainment, while also securing some of the big prizes awarded throughout the night.
