GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – Do not miss the Gridley High School Graduating Class of 2021, athletes and royal court as they make their way through town this Friday.

Gridley celebrates a modified Homecoming this week, with the traditional Homecoming Parade set to roll through town Friday, April 23rd. Typically, this is each classes’ opportunity to show off their hard work and finalized floats before a winner is announced at the big Homecoming Week Finale: Gridley Vs. Paradise on the gridiron. This year the parade will feature no floats, but students, athletes, staff and the 2021 Homecoming royal court will continue the tradition. This year’s royal candidates are as follows: Queens: Emily Ruiz, Taylor Hastings, Ciah Moran, and Maribel Garcia. King candidates are Brady Crabtree, Damian Mendoza, Spencer Cron and Elias Counihan.

The parade starts at 3:45 pm and will follow the standard route of heading west on Spruce St. from the high school to Vermont St., turning south on Vermont to Sycamore St., taking a left onto Sycamore, heading east until Haskell St., taking Haskell up to Hazel St. and Hazel back to the high school.
