GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - 20-10 was the final score of the second round of the 2019 playoff game between Biggs Wolverines varsity football team and Los Molinos Bulldogs; in favor of the Bulldogs. A season filled with huge aspirations abruptly ended, leaving a void for far too long before having an opportunity at revenge.

Friday, March 19, 2021, fans packed Del Kalbach Stadium in Biggs, CA to watch their beloved Wolverines take on Los Molinos Bulldogs in the second game of their 2020-2021 season. On the first play of scrimmage, the Wolverines recovered a Bulldogs fumble and drove 45-yards for the 1-yard score by Parker Finley. And the Wolverines never let up. The explosive offense and stellar defense controlled the game from start to finish. The Wolverines would put on another spectacular performance to get their revenge on the Bulldogs 52-8.

Finley finished the night with 163 all-purpose yards, 65 of those coming from a kick-off return to start that second half that he took to the house. Finley rushed for 98 yards and scored two touchdowns. Shavon Gramps-green tallied 137 all-purpose yards, with 105 yards on the ground with two scores, and one reception for a 32-yard score. Quarterback Gregg Slusser completed two passes for 53-yards, both resulting in touchdowns. Slusser also had 49-yards rushing and one interception on defense. Junior tight end, Cody Roles, got in on the scoring action with a 21-yard touchdown reception.

In a post game interview, Finley had nothing but great things to say about joining this electric Wolverines team. “Feeling great. Best team I’ve been a part of. They’ve welcomed me in with open arms. We just went to work right away. The past three weeks have been a blast.” And a blast it has been to watch this Wolverines team on the gridiron.

In two games, the Wolverines have outscored their opponents 103-16. Their next game is scheduled for another home game at Del Kalbach Stadium on March 26, 2021, against Portola High School.
