GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Gridley High School Leadership Class wants to invite you and the family to enjoy a night at the Movies while supporting a great cause.

This Friday night, March 12th, GHS Leadership is hosting their 4th Drive-in Movie Night on the High School Campus. The event is FREE to the community and will be held on the lawn behind the weight room. The film for the evening is none-other than family favorite, The Sandlot.

The GHS Drive-In movie nights began as a safe and fun way to get together during COVID-19, but this coming Friday’s event will help the Leadership Class kick off their newest fundraising campaign. These future leaders have set a goal for themselves of raising $2,000 to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Students will be selling popcorn, water and hot chocolate with all proceeds going to that very worthy cause.

Leadership Advisor Jennifer Davidson says, “As the weather warms up this even will be a great way for families to enjoy a classic movie and donate to a deserving organization. The leadership class is always trying to come up with ways to engage the students and community in a safe manner and we’re hoping this movie night will bring both of those groups together for a really fun evening!”

Do not miss The Sandlot on the big screen Friday, March 12thbeginning at 6:30 pm at the Gridley High School campus.
