BUTTE COUNTY, CA (MPG) - Every good cause needs to be represented by a good mascot, and Butte County Fire Safe Council may have the best! WildFire Ready Raccoon (his friends call him “Ready”) lives here in Butte County and wants everyone to be prepared for wildfire. Whether its authoring books, performing at public events, or even writing and signing rap songs, Ready is ready to do what it takes to get the message out. “Every little thing folks do to prepare turns into A LOT of benefit when its time to evacuate and then come home to a house that survived a wildfire”, says Ready, “Having Go Bags, human AND animal evacuation plans, defensible space, it all adds up in the long run”.
If you would like a free copy of Ready’s book, or other children’s learning/engagement material, please call 530-877-0984. If you’d like to listen to Ready Raccoon rapping about wildfire safety, www.buttefiresafe.net/
