GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) – COVID 19 has made trick-or-treating a little tricky this year, but don’t despair ghouls and goblins! Candy is coming to a neighborhood near you!

Gridley High School’s Leadership class is presenting a drive-thru Trunk-or-Treat opening to all Gridley elementary-aged children. Students will be masked and handing out candy on Friday, October 30th from 5:00 -7:00 pm at the Gridley High School Loop!

Although Project Biggs can’t host an official Trunk or Treat this year (it’s gathering size is not yet legally permitted), residents are allowed to park in downtown Biggs between 6-8 pm, with trunks facing towards the sidewalks, socially distanced of course, to hand out candy.  The Hotel Colonia may even be playing spooky music from its historic balcony.

The Butte County Department of Public Health urges people to continue to practice social distancing measures even during Halloween celebrations. Private gatherings are currently allowed with a limit of no more than 3 households present and should be conducted outside. Large gatherings are still not allowed.
