Four Oroville Residents Arrested During Burglary Investigation

OROVILLE, CA (MPG) - On August 25, 2020, Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) deputies responded to a report of a residential burglary in Bangor. Deputies arrived and cleared the residence. While clearing the residence and property, deputies contacted Jeremiah Lee of Oroville, 38, and Heather Lee of Oroville, 36. Deputies conducted an investigation and arrested Jeremiah and Heather for the following charges: One felony count of burglary, one felony count of theft of utility services, and one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance. Jeremiah was also booked for a felony arrest warrant. The arrest warrant was issued after BCSO investigated a burglary in July of 2020.
Deputies and detectives conducted a follow-up investigation and determined large amounts of property had been stolen during the aforementioned Bangor burglary. On August 27, deputies and detectives served a search warrant at a residence located near the 100 block of Mission Olive Road, Oroville. During the service of the search warrant detectives contacted Gene Gleason of Oroville, 51, and Misty Adams of Oroville, 38.
During a search of the Mission Olive residence detectives located multiple items which had been stolen from the Bangor residence. Detectives also located a firearm, ammunition and methamphetamine. Gleason was placed under arrest for the following charges: One felony count of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm, one felony count of being a prohibited person in possession of ammunition, one felony count of removing/altering the serial number on a firearm, one felony count of possession of stolen property, and one misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance. Adams was placed under arrest for one felony count of possession of stolen property.
