BCSO Announces Arrest of Berry Creek Residents Related to Domestic Violence and Marijuana Investigations

OROVILLE, CA (MPG) - On April 21, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) began investigating a domestic violence incident that occurred in Berry Creek. During the investigation deputies and detectives determined a female victim sustained serious injuries during the domestic violence incident. The victim was transported to a local hospital where she received treatment for her injuries. After conducting an investigation, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Junior Harvey of Berry Creek, 39. Detectives determined Harvey was cultivating a large amount of marijuana at a residence located in the 100 block of Bromilow Lane, Berry Creek.

During the investigation, detectives located large marijuana grows on three additional parcels located in the 100 block of Bromilow Lane. On May 6, detectives from the Felony Investigations Unit and Special Enforcement Unit served search warrants at the four aforementioned locations. During the service of the search warrants numerous evidence items were located to include hundreds of marijuana plants, firearms to include an illegal assault weapon, processed marijuana, evidence of marijuana sales, and approximately $47,000.

Detectives were unable to locate Junior. Junior has a warrant for his arrest for one felony count of domestic violence, one felony count of battery with great bodily injury, and one felony count of assault with a deadly weapon. During the investigation Toma Malchov of Berry Creek, 45, Marta Stoyanova of Berry Creek, 35, Sompha Sipaseuth of Sacramento, age 38 and Anton Andonov of Berry Creek, age 50 were contacted. Malchov was arrested for possession of an illegal assault weapon, illegal cultivation of marijuana, and possession of marijuana for sale. Stoyanova was arrested for illegal cultivation of marijuana and for possession of marijuana for sale. Andonov and Sipaseuth were both arrested for illegal cultivation of marijuana.
