On March 21^st, a local struck it rich. Assistant Manager, Al Carmona helped the gentleman (who wishes to remain anonymous) the day he came in to redeem his high-paying lotto ticket and says that the winner originally thought he had just won $35,000. After scanning the ticket, Carmona informed him he was actually taking home $75,000.

Carmona wasn’t too surprised. He says, “As far as, you know, continuous people winning, we have a lot of $2,500 winner, $1,000 winner, $500 winners... Just as of late. And we have had a $7 million-dollar winner here before. So, it seems like, you know, luck continues to strike. So, this is the place to buy your tickets!”

Stores that sell winning tickets earn .5% of the total up to a million dollars. Carmona says, “It’s not a lot, but it’s still fun and it’s exciting for everybody.” He also says that as word spreads about the payouts, they have seen more coming in to buy tickets. “It definitely creates a little bit of frenzy.”

When asked if he bought a ticket, he laughed and said “I did!”
