Butte County Sheriff's Office Announces Additional Arrest Related to Canada Murder Suspect

BUTTE COUNTY, CA (MPG) - On December 1, 2019, the Butte County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) began conducting follow-up regarding the arrest of Brandon Teixeira. Detectives suspected Sam Koh of Gridley, age 40 had been harboring Teixeria prior to his arrest on December 1. Detectives also received information Koh was possibly assisting Teixeria with the illegal distribution of narcotics and marijuana. On December 6, 2019, Detectives and other law enforcement personnel served search warrants at two of Koh’s residences. One residence was located in the 500 block of Macedo Road, Gridley, and the second residence was located in Loma Rica.

During the service of the search warrants, additional evidence items were located to include multiple firearms and additional marijuana. Evidence of illegal marijuana cultivation and sales was also located. After the search warrants were served, Detectives located Koh in the Sacramento area. Koh was placed under arrest without incident. Koh was interviewed and later booked into the Butte County Jail for the following charges: maintaining residences for illegally selling narcotics and marijuana, harboring a wanted fugitive, illegal cultivation of marijuana, and possession of marijuana for sale.
