530 Sports: Week 6 Softball Results

GRIDLEY, CA (MPG) - Week 6 slow pitch softball got started at 6:30PM on Monday, August 26th, with Softball & Chill hosting All About That Base in a seventh inning nail-biter. Each team got on the board in the first inning with AATB leading 4-3. The game was tied at 11-11 after five innings when Softball & Chill scored five runs in the bottom half of the inning. With two out, and two runners on base, AATB blasted a 3-run home run to left field for what would be the game winning hit. All About That Base would improve to 4-2 on the season with the 14-11 victory.

Sons of Pitches hosted the Ball Busters in another close battle. The Ball Busters led the entire game and really pulled away in the top of the sixth inning when they extended their lead 15-10. Although SOP tried to come back, the Ball Busters would prove to be too much and went on to win 18-14. The Dirty Birds hosted Pitches Be Crazy in the final matchup of the evening in a lopsided matchup from the first inning. After two innings PBC were up 11-0 before Dirty Birds got on the board. After 5 ½ innings Pitches Be Crazy would go on to win 18-7. 

On Tuesday, August 27th, Maximum Effort hosted Knuckle Heads in a close battle at 7:00PM. Maximum Effort would hit three home runs to win in 6 ½ innings by a score of 11-6.

For the 8:15PM game Pitch Please hosted ATAP in a low scoring game. Pitch Please would win in 6 ½ innings by a score of 8-4 to improve to 4-2 on the season. 

On Thursday, August 29th, Team H&H hosted Default Judgement. It was a back and forth battle before Team H&H pulled away in the bottom of the sixth inning to win by a score of 13-7. For the final game of the week, Team SS hosted the Misfits in a blowout of a game. By the second inning, Misfits were ahead 19-0 before Team SS got on the board. The Misfits would improve 4-2 with the 26-1 victory.
