GRIDLEY, CA  (MPG) - The Kids’ Choir will present the delightful children’s musical “The Slingshot Heard ‘Round the World” on Sunday, March 31^st at 10:30 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. at Gridley Christian Church. All are welcome to attend this 35 minute musical based on the Bible story of David and Goliath.  Twenty-three children ages 4 and older combine their talents to remind us that we can trust Jesus to fight our battles for us.  We are not alone.

Drama, singing, choreography, costumes, and lighting are all combined in this Christian musical theater production to teach us that problems start shrinking the moment we are thinking of prayer.

This fun and humorous musical teaches the story of David and Goliath in a very unique way.  Goliath(John Burks)  is not the sharpest knife in the drawer.  But he does have brothers to support him in his victories: Gorilla(Kyle Taylor), GoFigure(Olivia Zarate), GoTee(Cora Lawrence), and GoFish(Evie LaBuff).  David (Jasmine Johnson) witnesses Goliath’s repeated insults toward God.  Due to God’s faithfulness to him in the past, David defends his almighty God by facing Goliath in battle.  God brings the victory.  David teaches us that in life we will confront many fears; but we can take positive faith-filled action to conquer our fears and our foes.
