LIVE OAK, CA (MPG) - After weeks of anticipation, the Live Oak High School Sober Grad Night Basketball Game tipped off on April 4 with energy and purpose. This community fundraiser was created to promote safe graduation celebrations and honor the memory of local DUI tragedies that inspired its launch.

Now in its third year, the event featured a competitive and spirited matchup between Live Oak High School seniors and a team composed of Sutter County Sheriff’s deputies and firefighters. In a hard-fought battle, the seniors clinched their first-ever win in the series, defeating the first responders 60–50.

All proceeds from the evening, including ticket sales, concessions, and raffles, will directly support Live Oak’s Sober Grad Night celebration on Wednesday, June 4, ensuring a fun and safe send-off for the Class of 2025.
